Thomas J. West

West, Thomas J., age 82 of Dayton passed away peacefully Monday July 20, 2015. Thomas was a 30 year member of the Teamsters Local #957. He attended Holy Trinity Grade School and was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane; a son, Kenneth and a brother-in-law, Donald Snodgrass. He is survived by his former wife, Julia Pillon of Centerville; three daughters and son-in-laws, Kathie (Wayne) Driver of Potsdam, OH, Theresa (Steve) Sherritt of New Lebanon, Susie (John) Carpenter of IN; three sisters, Nancy West of Columbus, Lois Snodgrass of Celina, Marilyn Butters of FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell (Susan) West of Beavercreek, James (Carol) of Hillsboro; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Carter West; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; his companion for eleven years, Mary Carroll of Dayton, Her children, Chuck, Margie, John and Cheryl. The family will receive friends Thursday July 23 from 10:00 – 12:00 at the Westbrock funeral Home 1712 Wayne Ave. Services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday at the funeral Home. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
