Todd Dickensheets

Todd Michael Dickensheets, born in Dayton, Ohio on February 18, 1971. Our angel went straight to Heaven on October 14, 2024. Preceded in death by his loving, devoted parents, Tom and Mary. He is survived by his brother, Tim, his sisters and brother-in-laws, Laura/Paul Guess, and Louann/ Mike Lee. His nephews, Andrew/Jamie Guess and daughter, Lily, Zach/ Kayla Guess and baby girl on the way, Matthew Ratcliffe and fiancee Ellie Meyer, His nieces, Marissa/Brandon Robbins and son, Wesley, and Megan Lee. Megan and Todd have always had a very special bond! Todd is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless family friends.

Todd became ill at one month of age and was severely disabled all of his life. This did not stop his parents however from making sure that Todd lived life to the fullest. Todd went everywhere with his family. Our special memories include taking him to numerous soccer games, girl scout family outings, family gatherings, and our vacations to North Myrtle Beach. We also enjoyed countless family dinners together. Everywhere Todd went, he was loved by others! Tim always loved decorating our house at Christmas time for Todd!

Our parents took care of Todd for 47.5 years in their home. This would not have been possible without the support of our family, friends, great neighbors, and our beloved caregivers who came into our home. A very special thank you to Sharon Riggs for her unwavering support over many years!

As our parents' health began to deteriorate, we were faced with making one of the most difficult decisions of our lives. A very special thank you to all of the staff at Stillwater Center for caring and loving Todd for the last 7 years of his life!

A special thank you to Ohio Hospice of Dayton for their support to our family the last week of Todd's life.

Mass of Christian burial on Friday, October 25, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Mass will be at 11:00 am, celebrated by Fr. Dan Meyer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Oh. 45420 or Stillwater Center, 8100 N. Main St. Dayton, Oh. 45415.

We celebrate Todd's life knowing that he is WHOLE now! He is laughing, running, and talking nonstop to his parents who were anxiously waiting on him. There is no doubt he was greeted by all our loved ones who have gone before us as well. Rest in peace, Toddy! Thank you for teaching us the true meaning of LOVE! Rejoice and be glad because your reward in heaven is great! Matthew 5:12
