Tony Eagle (Anthony Joseph Chrowl) age 80, of Townsend, TN passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 in Tipp City with family by his side.
Tony was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1939. He was proceeded in death by his first wife Patricia (Williams) Chrowl, son, Mark Chrowl, and second wife, Barbara Sue (Wenger) Eagle. He is survived by son, Jeffrey Chrowl, granddaughter Elizabeth (Charlie) Doran and great-grandchildren Sidney and Eustace. Grandson, Anthony (Katherine) Chrowl and great-grandchildren, Hailey and Harper; Daughter, Tami Hoertt (Bronson Matney), grandson, Dustin (Shannon) Hoertt and great-grandchildren, Owen, Logan and Austin. Grandson, James (Lindsay) Hoertt, great-grandson, Jameson. Granddaughter, Ashley Hoertt. Daughter, Toni Jo Miller (Joe Diemunsch). Grandsons, Eric, Lee, and Patrick (Jennifer) Miller and Granddaughter, Stephanie (Kyle) Eilerman, great grandchildren, Claire, Olivia and Alex. Daughter in law, Carletta Chrowl-Moats and stepchildren, Keith Wenger, Rodney Wenger and Becky Morgan.
Tony graduated from Covington High School in 1957. He studied drafting and design at University of Dayton. He worked for Hobart Brothers and NCR. Later in life he became a Dayton Police Officer, being the oldest recruit to graduate from the Dayton Police Academy at that time. He retired in 2002 where he established his Eagle’s Nest in Townsend, TN. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, biking, canoeing and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He often made the ‘quick’ trip home to Ohio to enjoy a breakfast at the Golden Nugget or lunch at Buffalo Jacks.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St. Dayton OH, 45410. Please join the family to celebrate Tony’s life at the Marion’s Piazza at 1320 N. Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek 45432 following the mass.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Hospice of Miami County for their care and support.
