Wilfird J. Schmitz

SCHMITZ, Wilfird J. age 61 of Centerville passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfird J. and Rose Schmitz. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maria Schmitz; daughters: Marcia Schmitz and Sylvia (Joshua) Laravie; grandson, Carter Laravie and sisters: Suzanne (Paul) Hoffman and Barbette (Daniel) Whalen. He is also survived by his nieces: Jeannette, Karen, Michelle, Theresa and Jacqueline; his dear companion dog, Gunther and his family in Brazil. Wilfird was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he loved UD Flyer Basketball and his pool table buddies. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5th at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Knights of Columbus, 267 Bainbridge Street, Dayton.
