KRUEGER, Will, age 27 of Dayton, OH died unexpectedly Monday, January 17, 2022. Will was born in Hollywood, FL and moved to Dayton in his early years. He is preceded in death by great grandparents Herb and Mary Lou Criss, grandparents Douglas and Mary Coutts, and godmother Marion Krueger. Survived by brother and best friend Drew Krueger and Katie Ellis. And survived by his mother Cheryl Stuart. Also survived by his father William Krueger, Jr. and wife Amy Gearing and stepbrother Mathew Gearing and wife Caroline. Additionally, survived by grandparents William Krueger, Sr and Cheryl Short, godfather James Krueger, great uncle James Sandstrom, aunt Jeannine Coutts and cousins Tad and DJ Staller, uncle Mike and aunt Anne Sander and cousins Matthew, Samantha and David Sander, and uncle Tad Staller, Sr. and wife Gina Staller. And survived by his girlfriend Kati Holderby and her family. And the many brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, in addition to so many coworkers and friends. Will is an alumnus of Oakwood High School and Wright State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and was due to complete his MBA this spring. Will was an employee of University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI), Sustainment Technologies Transition division, working as an Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer. Members of his team at UDRI share, “Will was always interested in utilizing his talents to achieve his team’s goals…and was all about growing his knowledge and skills…and truly enjoyed life.” His family shares that Will was all about family and friends and building valued relationships, resulting in a meaningful network that spreads far and wide. This was Will’s way and is most certainly what will keep his memory alive. Will had a vibrant sense of being and engagement with the world and people around him. He was loved by so many. The family will have a private service and are grateful for arrangements provided by Westbrock Funeral Home. A public Sharing of Memories event will be hosted by the student organizations that Will joined while in college. The event will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022,
at 1:00 P.M. in the lower-level Wright State University Student Union Atrium. Will's family will begin the event by sharing their thoughts and reminiscences of Will; others are invited to follow as they are moved to do so. Per Wright State University policy, all faculty, staff, students and visitors are required to wear a face mask when inside all buildings on the Wright State University campus
