Bill Hinze, age 75 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17th, after a brief illness, at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard William Hinze and mother Carolyn (Hogenkamp) Hinze. Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Hoke Hinze. Sons Howard (Kara), of Madison IN., Richard (Christal Bidwell) of Louisville, KY. Granddaughters, Elena & Audra Hinze, Sister Annette Schrolucke (Jim Dunbrook) of Florida. Many cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws, and a host of great friends. He spent his working career in the graphic arts business as co-owner of Dayton Process Engravers and owner of Comp-Tec Graphics. Bill had many interest in his life. He was an incredibly creative person as an artist, sculptor, engineer, architect, carpenter, sailor, goat herder, comedian, jester and life of the party. A doting husband and father, he was a kind and gentle man who will be loved and missed by many. A special note of thanks to his loving and caring friend Cynthia Rand. Memorial visitation will be on Sunday, December 21st at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue, Dayton, Ohio from 3 to 6pm. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the dedicated nurses and doctors at Kettering Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for their care. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks that all donations go to Hospice of Dayton. Memorial service will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 411 East 2nd Street, Dayton, Ohio at 9:30 am, Monday, December 22nd.
