William C. Sage

William C. Sage, 84, of Washington Township, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Born in Dayton, OH to Thomas a'Beckett and Anna Louise (McCord) Sage, William attended Holy Angels Elementary and Chaminade High School. After serving in the Army during the Korean conflict in 1953-1955, William went on to graduate from The University of Dayton in 1959 with a degree in Business.
He married Mary Louise (Mahlmeister) in 1958. William's greatest pleasures in life included all things Dayton; Esther Price candy, Cassano's and Marion's Pizza, Golf, and UD basketball. He was a true Flyer fan his entire life.
William is proceeded in death by his daughter, Lisa, and wife, Mary. He is survived by his children Julie (of Louisville), MaryEllen (of Centerville), Lori and Jack Barr (of Batesville, IN) and Steven (of Washington Township) and grandchildren, Benjamin and Joseph Barr, brothers Redmond (of Coloma, MI), and James (of Beavercreek) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit at the Westbrock Funeral Home from 9:00 am-10:00 am on Friday, December 22 followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in memory of William to First Tee of Greater Miami Valley or St. Jude's Medical Center.
