WILLIAM A. “BILL” TOTH, age 95, of Centerville, Ohio, and formerly of Flushing, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his home on February 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 17, 1929, the son of Joseph and Julia (Kovach) Toth.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, meritoriously earning two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. After returning home to Flushing, Michigan from the service, he was a faithful member of the St. Robert Parish for 57 years. Bill attended the General Motors Institute. He spent his career with General Motors as a General Foreman, retiring after 42 years of service. Upon his move to Ohio, he found a loving home at the St. Leonard Faith Community. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. Above all, family was most important to Bill, and he cherished the time he spent with them.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 72 years, Eileen (LaClair) Toth; children, Debbie Toth, Paula (Dirk) Miller, Steven (Tina) Toth, Lisa (Craig) Woodward and Sarah Nowlin; son-in-law, Tim Sabourin; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, along with countless nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Julianne Sabourin, and two brothers.
Bill’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Crisis Care Team at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for the dedicated, loving care provided to him on his final journey.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at St. Leonard Church, 8100 Clyo Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Bill’s honor beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Jerry Hammerle officiating.
