HINDERS, WILMER A., age 89 passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Hinders; daughter, Judy Hinders Craycraft; great-grandson, Liam Adams; sisters: Virginia Ebbinhaus, Andrea Steineman and Anna Mae Halderman; brothers: Woody and Richard Hinders and a brother-in-law, Paul Schmalstig. Wilmer is survived by his children: Linda (Jake) Freyvogel, Dave (Sharon) Hinders, Janet (Craig) Price and Andrew (Alisa) Hinders; grandchildren: Wendy, Tracy, Brandon, Lindsay, Julie, Lauren and Gaven; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Nancy) Hinders; sister, Vera Rocco; brother-in-laws: Ross Ebbinghaus, Donnie Steineman, George Halderman, Charlie Schmalstig, Eddie (Mary) Schmalstig, Tommy (Marilyn) Schmalstig and Jerry (Jodie) Schmalstig; sister-in-laws: Ginny Marshall, Mary (Louie) Hoelscher and Carol (Carl) Kesson and numerous nieces and nephews and friends at Walnut Creek. Wilmer was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 500 and The University of Dayton Flyers Club. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses at Walnut Creek Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for all of your care and compassion. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29th from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to, Hospice of Dayton.
